Trek 6 Days

DAY 1 : M’HAMID – SIDI NAJI

M’hamid – Sidi Naji (5:30) Alarm clock, breakfast under the big tent of the bivouac … Tent Preparation and loading camels and departure at 9am. Walking 2hrs 30mins to get to the palm or you will take the lunch. After some rest, you still walk 2:30 to 3 pm through dunes and desert landscapes to reach Sidi Naji (mausoleum of marabou the Nouaji tribe settled there once) where we set up camp for the night in camp.

DAY 2 : SIDI NAJI – AZMAILA

Sidi Naji – Azmaila – (4h) After a good breakfast, Sidi Naji for a 3 hour walk across clay plates alternating with small dunes to Azmaila. Lunch under the tamarisk in the middle of dunes …. Dinner and overnight in tents or under the stars.

DAY 3 : AZMAILA – ERG ZAHAR

Azmaila – Erg Zahar (3h) Departure to the big dunes of Erg Zahar. This will be a single step 5h will allow us to establish ourselves at the foot of dunes, pitching tents and eat for lunch mid-day … the afternoon, there will not walk this will be free time to enjoy being in the big dunes to explore, climb and in the evening watch the sunset from the top of the highest …. return to camp by the fire, preparing the meals and tajine convivial evening … night in a tent or under the stars.

DAY 4 : ERG ZAHAR – ERG SMAR – NABKATE SIDI TAYAB

Erg Zahar – Erg Smar – Nabkate Sidi Tayab (4h) Waking at sunrise and breakfast then departure of the caravan along the bed of the Draa about 2 hours to Erg Smar, crossing the Draa to switch to the other side for a lunch in the shade of tamarisk in the beautiful scenery Erg smar, silted up and abandoned this village surrounded by tamarisk yet ….. After a half hour walk, we will set up camp for the night dunes Lahdaibat ……… night in tents or beautiful star.

DAY 5 : LEBORE – BERTHAM

Lebore – Bertham Departure of small dunes to walk to Lebore – where you will lunch and then you walk up the dune again Bertham where you will camp the night.

DAY 6 : MZOUARIA – M’HAMID

Mzouaria – M’hamid You will raise the camp of the dune to walk to Mzouaria Bertham or you will take the lunch and after a short rest, you will return to the fixed bivouac in M’hamid.
