DAY 1 : AGADIR – TATA
Our driver will pick you up at 08.00am at your accomodation/airport. We will start our journey by heading in the direction to the desert oasis of Tata. A base for the off-the-beaten-track excursions, such as Akka Oasis, desert camping and the rock engravings at Oum el-Alek, Tircht and Ait Herbil, among the finest in Morocco. After driving along the beautiful sceneries and mountains, we stop for a picknick lunch. Then, we continue along the scenic landscape to Tata. Situated on the Saharan plain at the foot of Jebel Bani, Tata was an oasis settlement along the trade route from West Africa. Overnight including half board at Dar Infiane, Tata.
DAY 2 : TATA – FOUM ZGUID – ERG CHEGAGA
Morning departure after breakfast to reach the high and immense sand dunes of Erg Chegaga. We will enjoy some interesting stops on the way to apperciate the beauty of the southern region before arriving in Foum Zguid for lunch. Afterwards we will take the track via the dry lake of Irqui to reach the wonderful Erg Chegaga desert with its huge dunes and unique silence. After admiring the sunset upon the sand dunes a traditional dinner will be served and the night will be spent in nomad tents or under the stars. DAY 3 : ERG CHEGAGA – M’HAMID – TAMGEROUTE – DRAA VALLEY – OUARZAZATE
Early morning enjoy the sunrise up the sand dunes followed by a hearty breakfast at the camp. We will leave our desert camp and continue our journey towards the village of M’hamid, where you have time to relax and enjoy lunch at our Hotel Kasbah Sahara Services. In the afternoon we will continue towards the village of Tamegroute to visit the Koran Library and the old Kasbah. Our journey will take us towards Zagora, through the beautiful Draa Valley and further to Ouarzazate. Overnight including half board at Dar Chamaa (or similar), Ouarzazate
DAY 4 : OUARZAZATE – AIT BENHADOU – ATLAS MOUNTAINS – MARRAKECH
After breakfast we will head towards the Kasbah of Ait Benhadou. This 16th century UNESCO site is one of the best preserved and most spectacular Kasbahs in Morocco. A famous site for Hollywood films, Ait Benhaddou was used for the blockbuster movie of 2000, Gladiator. After the visit we will make our way back towards Marrakech by crossing the stunning sceneries of the high Atlas Mountains at the pass of 2.260 m hight. We will be back in “The Red City” by late afternoon. Dinner at leisure and overnight at Riad Imilchil, Marrakesh
DAY 5 : MARRAKECH – ESSAOUIRA – MARRAKECH
Today we will head of for a full day excursion to the coastal beachtown ofEssaouira. After around 3 hours, we reach this relaxed coastal town to visit the ancient medina walls, the big port as well as to have a walk along the beach. Lunch will be be enjoyed in a typical Sea Food Restaurant. In the afternoon we will have some more time to explore Essaouira before we drive back to Marrakech. DAY 6 : MARRAKECH
After breakfast at the hotel, you will enjoy a full day guided city tour of Marrakesh with an English speaking guide. The visit will include the beautiful palace of Bahia, the outstanding Saadian tombs, the Koutoubia mosque, the big square of Jemaa el-Fna, the breezing gardens of Majorelle as well as the colourful souks, whith the artisans and handcrafts. DAY 7 : MARRAKECH – AGADIR
The morning is at leisure before departure to the city of Agadir via the high way. We will reach Agadir at around 5.00pm. Our driver will drop you off at your accomodation or drive you directly to the airport.
